Internship Coordinator at Dutch Students Abroad

I currently fill the role of Internship Coordinator Berlin at Dutch Students Abroad, an organisation that arranges and supervises internships in various European cities for students from the Netherlands. My role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities that require organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Above all, I ensure that the students have an enjoyable and educational  internship experience in Berlin.

End-to-End Internship Coordination
I manage all aspects of the internship process, from initial placement to completion, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for students. I provide support and assistance for travel and accommodation, making sure students have an easy transition into their internship.

Relationship Building and Data Management
I serve as the main point of contact for schools, students, employers, and parents, ensuring clear and effective communication. I have built a network of relationships with companies for student placement, developing and nurturing professional connections. I set up a database that holds all data concerning students, schools, and internship places. This system allows for efficient tracking and management of all relevant information.

Independent Work and Problem Solving
I work independently with little oversight, taking full ownership of my responsibilities and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. I proactively address and resolve any issues that arise, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for everyone involved.

Achievements and Impact
My efforts have resulted in the successful placement of numerous students in internships, as well as the development of strong relationships with various stakeholders. I am committed to creating a positive and enriching internship experience, which is reflected in the positive feedback I’ve received from students, schools, and employers. For example, the multi-day program I ran for a group of teachers resulted in the sign-up for a two-week project in Berlin for a group of 20 students.
