Visual Design: Lit Lab

I was asked to create a hand lettered blackboard for custom candle laboratory Lit Lab, located in the Heckmann Höfe in Berlin. As her shop was kind of tucked away in a corner, owner Mallory needed a sign to explain to passers by what her shop was selling, and to lure them to come in. I sketched two different designs, of which Mallory chose her favorite. After some final tweaks to the exact text to go on the board, the final sign was created using chalk pens on blackboard, sealed by a protective coating.
