Words to describe fangirls commonly range from ‘uneducated’, ‘emotional’ and ‘silly’ to ‘hysterical’, ‘pathological’ and even ‘dangerous’. That is quite a one-sided and condescending way of looking at young female music fans, clearly rooted in patriarchal culture.   

In contrast, this project is a loving ode to fangirls (and fanwomen). It explores all the ways it is feminist & fun to scream at a boy band with your friends ♥︎
